Welcoming Houseguests

Time is of the essence these days.

Things are a little bit (? --or a LOT) hectic since we have houseguests arriving soon.

They are going to stay about four days.

So it's been clean, dust, get beds ready, freshen things, and so on and so forth.

Of course, there is still cooking to do and about 10 things left on the "to do" list.

What gets done, gets done, and what doesn't, doesn't.

Just wanted to check in and say hello.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO TO MAKE GUESTS FEEL WELCOME?

Well I do what you do - I also add some bottled water and snacks in their room.

I like getting ready for company. It gives me a proper reason to clean and tidy for one thing. But I like preparing for guests themselves, thinking of ways that will make their stay more comfortable and enjoyable. Extra blankets and glasses for water, maybe magazines or small books for easy reading.

Enjoy your visit, Susan.

Have a wonderful visit with your guests. I like to make their rooms comfortable and cheery. Flowers and fresh scented candles and clean sheets
and towels on the bed along with a chocolate square.

We are having house guests this month. I also like getting things ready. Often thought I'd like to own a Bed and Breakfast. Probably too much work. Enjoy your visit.
