When I first saw the sweet angel statue, it called sweetly to me.
What a darling image it portrayed.
It would look perfect in our backyard was the thought that kept coming into my mind and heart so angel came home with me.
Sure enough, little angel looked just smashing in a plant hanger on the fence behind our backyard fountain. All spring, summer and fall, every time I sat by the fountain, angel kept good, silent company.
Finally, the weather turned cold. Rain pelted angel. Time to come in for the winter.
So this week, I brought angel in. It sits in the kitchen sink, needing a toothbrush scrub to get all the dirt from inside the cracks.
When angel is clean as can be, it'll be brought into the downstairs bathroom until next spring.
Sweet angel, watch over us all winter, okay?
