Frost Is on the Easter Egg Bush

For many years now, a highlight of Easter at our house is decorating a bush outside with brightly colored plastic eggs.

Down from the attic comes the plastic bin, filled with eggs of all sizes and colors.

The decorated Easter egg bush draws lots of attention.

It's such a pretty thing to see!

Here's the first egg hung:

Some cars slow down in front of our house so people can get a better look.

Children walk by and slow their pace when they see the bush. Some stop all together and stare.

Mostly, it draws smiles.

This year it was more of a challenge than ever to decorate it  because I had to traipse through snow to get to it.

A couple of times, the plastic bin of eggs collected throughout the years almost slid down the little hill near the bush.

But even worse, I almost slid down myself a couple of times and that wouldn't have been a pretty sight!

I wasn't even singing "Here Comes Peter Cottontail, Hopping Down the Bunny Trail."

It felt like decorating for Santa instead of the Easter bunny but now it's done and the Easter egg bush looks pretty "schnazzy," especially contrasted against all the white snow!
