Beauty and Grace in Miniature

There's something wonderfully appealing about delicate "sculptures" of young ladies.

They are so graceful and realistic. Tiny fingers, slender arms, rosebud lips, and various hairstyles can all be depicted to near perfection. We are talking about figures not more than seven inches tall!

A quick run into the Dollar Tree for one item turns out to be much more than anticipated. Several shelves filled with little sculptures make picking out just one virtually impossible. They come in all styles and colors of dresses and look like young girls getting ready to go to a prom.

Each one has a pretty face. One carries a bouquet of flowers and another has just one flower near her wrist. All wear tiny necklaces.

Fingering each one, it is so tempting to buy a half dozen but restraint wins. Three young sculpted ladies, one in a green and pink dress, one totally in green, and one demure young lady in a pink and orange dress, come home with me.

Every glance at the little sculptures makes me smile as strains of "I Could Have Danced All Night" run through my mind.

Do you or one of your friends have a collection of some kind that you love adding to?

That is so funny. I'm just getting ready to photograph a little figurine of a dancing couple I have. Hmmmmmmmmm - have you been reading my mind??

I must show great restraint in the $$$ store. Last trip in it was some really, really cute birds that I have so far resisted.

But.........if something makes you smile than you must have it!!!

To tell you the truth I didn't know they had such beautiful dolls at the Dollar Tree - I go there all the time. I love the way you described them and the song I Could Have Danced All Night ...

Could be too I have a grandson not a granddaughter???
