The Reindeer Bears March Into Your Heart: Tuesday, December 7, 2010

Everybody knows Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer, but who's heard of the reindeer bears?

One year, I found them in a Dollar Store in Tucson, Arizona.  They are no more than three inches high. They have soft antlers that stick up from their heads, into the air, or bend in whatever direction you want.

Some are sitting holding presents or a tiny Christmas tree while others stand at attention, ready to welcome Christmas with pizazz. They are on two kitchen windowsills until January! On one sill,  the bears are flanked by pretty glass evergreen trees.

So let's hear it for the Christmas bears!

WHAT IS ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY DECORATIONS IN YOUR KITCHEN?

When I saw these little darlings I was reminded of that song - Thistle hair the Christmas bear. Doesn't really look like them but he is a Christmas Bear!

Enjoy!

Sorry about that. I have a wooden shelf on which I display ceramic bunnies. At Christmas, I bring out the ceramic gingerbread girls :)

My mom has a collection of tea pots at the top of the kitchen cabinets. Gifts and good findings, among which one can find three Christmas-y ones. Those come to the front at this time of year, and are, without a doubt, my favorite kitchen decoration. :o)
lovely bears!
have a great day.

Those bears are just too precious.

I have a stuffed "Christmas kitchen bear" with an apron full of little spoons and such. It's about a foot high and she stands on my windowsill over my sink.

Would Christmas hand towels and potholders count?

Of all the trinkets I have collected over the years those reindeer are at the top of the list. I can't help but smile when I pass by them xobb
