The Innocence of Children

(Photo taken in a Childrens' Room at the Denver Museum of Art.)

Hope you had a good and happy weekend.

It was busy around here but really terrific.

There were two birthday bashes to attend as well as a church yard sale, a cut-a-thon, and on and on.

At one of the birthday celebrations, I spent some time in the backyard with my nieces' children. The air was cool but the sun's bright rays poured down and warmed us.

It was fun to see the little ones running, jumping, rolling over in the soft, green grass, and enjoying every moment of life.

You should have seen the faces of the children when they  blew bubbles. Something as simple as soap bubbles made their faces light up with wonder.

They raised their hands in the air and clapped, chased the rainbow colored bubbles, and laughed heartily. Those were such magical moments.

We can learn so much from children----their innocence, their enthusiasm for the littlest things in life and from their ability to derive sheer joy just from being alive.

IN WHAT WAYS ARE YOU STILL A CHILD?

Lately I have been feeling older than I want to feel...would like to get back to more childlike moods...no, not senility! Just lighter and freer...I will work on it.

I try to see things out of their eyes more often. They see things so much more fun then we do. sandie

I love to spend time with all children..no wonder I teach elementary school. I'm like a kid each and every day.

Hi Susan,
I love watching the little ones blow bubbles...it's magic.
I like to try and see pictures in the clouds....I do this when we go in the car. Hubby drives and I gaze at the clouds...or read the shop signs out loud as we pass by.
Childish fun !!
God Bless
