The Green, Green Grass of Home..

Today we are joining Lorraine's  Think on These Things on her blog With a Grateful Prayer and a Thankful Heart.

In the spring and summertime, when everything is green and lush, it's absolutely delightful to get outside and enjoy the surroundings.

The countryside is particularly appealing.

Fields of sweeping green with almost no end; the limitless sky and rolling clouds;  leafy pathways and undiscovered roads all make a person so grateful to be alive.

Do you ever wonder what God was thinking when He created our world?

It's so filled with amazing things from the tiniest bug to the wrinkly skin of a huge elephant thundering across a plain.

From a blade of grass to a grove of pine trees the tops of which seem to touch the heavens, He created it all for us, His precious children.

The colors of nature, too, soothe our spirits.  The blues, greens, oranges, pinks, purples,  reds, whites, and yellows of flowers in every shape and size never cease to amaze.

The sounds of birds and trickling water in a stream also soothe.

A whole world is right there, at our fingertips, for our pure enjoyment.

Once you sit underneath a canopy of leaves, with dappled sunlight streaming down, you'll want to go outside often just to think, or not.

TELL ABOUT SOMETHING SPECIAL IN NATURE YOU'VE SEEN TODAY.

Susan is this beautiful place near your home? It is beautiful.

I think the things in nature I enjoy the most are all the different and colorful flowers.

Love, sandie

Beautiful pictures of the outdoors. We went to a site yesterday...lovely too. The green is SO green right now. Farmers are baling hay here and are two weeks from cutting wheat. Fields look good...trees nice...prairie gorgeous! Glad you had some time in your own beauty.

I so love seeing the rolling green hills and green fields and country lanes trailing off in the distance headed to who knows where. We don't have that here in South Florida so it's wonderful to see what God has created across the landscape from the ocean's edge. I found your post at Think on These Things. Hope you'll stop by Quirky Vistas and see what's up down South at the break of dawn.

I think you should enlarge the first photo and have it printed on a canvas and hung in your home! It is so beautiful!

We do read in Genesis: God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.

Thank you for sharing this lovely post on Think on These Things!

Beautiful pictures. I shot some photos of our gardenias that debuted this week. They are stunning and smell like what I imagine heaven would smell like.

I saw a mother bird and a mother bunny encouraging their babies. It was so sweet.

Hi, love your photos. Can feel the goodness of God in every picture. Also understood the fact that " GOD HAS MADE EVERYTHING FOR US" :-)
