Say Welcome!

Hello Dear Blog Peeps. Hope this new day of life is filled with sunshine and all good things for you.

Don't you agree that one's front walkway, porch, and door all say a special "welcome" to guests?

Whenever I visit someone's home for the first time, I love feeling welcome. Pots of flowers, signs, and wreaths are all ways to say "come on in."

Remember, first impressions are lasting ones so make visitors to your home feel that you are happy to see them.

When I decided to paint our formerly light blue door, the black and gold transformation made me happy.

I also love the brass door handle and knocker. Hopefully,  guests to our home like them, too.

Down on the porch floor is this welcome mat.  It went perfectly with Easter decor.

Around here, we change front door wreaths quite frequently.  The Easter wreath just came down and prior to that there were a couple different Valentine's Day wreaths.

The front door now has the big grapevine wreath with purple flowers that's shown at the top of this post.

HOW DOES YOUR OWN FRONT DOOR AND/OR PORCH SAY WELCOME?

Such a beautiful door wreath! Will the birds leave it alone? I sometimes get nests built in mine!

Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog post Passages.

I love you wreath and your door, the black and gold is so elegant! I love to dress up my front and change it through seasons, so that guests really feel welcome and people that passes by, takes an extra look.

A wreath on the door and a miniature flower-filled wooden wagon inscribed with block letters that says OLD TOYS greets my guests.

I don't do a lot of wreaths but do admit my front porch is not as 'welcoming' as it should be. I'll do better I promise!! Hugs, Linda

I love the wreath. Your entry is certainly inviting. I think my house has a great entry. In fact, the front porch is what sold me on buying this house the first time I ever stepped foot on it.
