Moments of Joy in Nature

One night a week, I drive quite a distance from my house to sing in a chorus.

The long distance is worth the effort because singing brings me great joy.

I think it's important to find joy every day in as many places as one possibly can.

Purpose of the chorus is just that----joy.  The people who attend simply want to sing for the sake of singing. Now how awesome is that?

On the way home, wisps of fog hugged the horizon in the countryside.

Silhouettes of tall pine trees made a statement against the early evening sky.

A good quality music cd played as my car glided along the road.

My heart felt so filled with love for this earth. For the sunset. For the trees. For the music. For life!

What a thrill it is to be alive!

At one point, I glimpsed toward the forest on either side of the road.

"Were there bears in there?" I asked myself. Probably.

"If someone gave me $1,000 to spend the night all alone in that forest,  would I do it?"

Nope. Too scared.

Before I knew it, I had driven all the way home, filled with gratitude for so many gifts that are part of daily life.

NAME ONE THING IN NATURE THAT GIVES YOU JOY.

The cool breeze that is part of nature is giving me joy this morning!
I also sing in the chorus at our Senior Center. We rehearse once a week, in the afternoon, then we "go on the road" to present our program to retiree groups, other Senior Centers, and community groups after we have learned all our music. It is great pleasure to me.

I love singing. Our church choir will be disbanding for the summer this coming Sunday and I will miss it very much.
I love the perfect weather here where I live, the bright sunshine everyday, the beautiful landscape and the wonderful Pacific Ocean. So grateful to live here.

I so enjoy your photos! Fresh, autumn air and sunshine give me joy. Many other things do too, that just came to mind first. :)

Have a great weekend!

Blessings,
Karen

You sound like the cheerleader I need tonight! Thank you.

I would not sleep alone in the forest for a $1K either.

You know - colors, birds, flowers - are my joy in nature.

I too love singing and think it is a great JOY in life. Your pix are great!
Sometimes, I just love to feel the wind at all times of the year. The wind on a warm day just delights my soul. Our God is so awesome to give us so many NATURAL treats.Love, Linda

I love being on the open road, beauty all around, nice music on the radio.

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is.

Have a beautiful day. Tammy
