The above photograph touched my gypsy soul.
Last Sunday, on a drive into the countryside, I came across this meadow.
Purple and yellow flowers, interspersed with a few white, perky daisies, dotted the land closest to the roadside.
What a splendid real live "painting" they made.
For as far as the human eye could see, there was not a single house.
It made a person feel so small, so insignificant in the general scheme of things.
Today, may you take a moment or two, stop and just enjoy the pleasure of being alive.

You know when I really want to find peace - I go to my room - alone - and PRAY! Praying is the only thing that gives me true peace. Although I do love talking to friends too. sandie
I go into my bedroom, sit in my lovely green chair, put my feet up and read..sometimes a book, sometimes my kindle, sometimes my daily prayer pages. It gives me silence after a day filled with children's voices. Love it. Pretty pictures Susan of the meadow.

I look at things like this, or just in my back yard, and the worship arises. It fills me with joy and wonder every time.
Mostly I find tranquility by going outside in nature. If I can't get a walk in, I like to star at the trees, the sky, the flowers, the birds...from my window.
Susan, your photo is a glimpse of serenity. My favorite time of day is evening, I love to sit outside or take a drive.
Beautiful and inspiring post as usual. I am happy that I have the ability to just 'switch' off when needed and completely chillax. Often when I come home from work I just stay in silence for a while before I do anything. I think it's important to just take some time to be quiet every now and then.
