Old Chair to Dazzling Art Piece!

My daughter is an excellent artist and crafty critter.

She's also very frugal.  On one of the more rare occasions that she bought something, it happened to be a thrift store chair.

Truthfully, I didn't see a whole lot of hope for it but boy, was I wrong.

My daughter began working on the chair and the next time I saw it, it had undergone an entire transformation.

Just look at the finished product in this post!  Woo hoo.

She painted it a sizzling shade of red and then added all kinds of designs and doodads to it.

She used lots of polka dots, lines, and squiggles.

I love the chair now, don't you?

DO YOU REVAMP THRIFT STORE FINDS?

The chair just sizzles. I love it and wish that I was artistic enough to renew a chair.

I love to go to thrift store but I don't redo items. I don't have the time! TOO many other crafty things in my life and Etsy! Not complaining...I love being retired, but I never dreamed I'd be so busy.
LOVE the chair. Very fun.
Thanks for always visiting my blog Susan. I told my hubby this morning that I would love to meet you someday in person.

The chair is absolutely beautiful! I love that kind of folkloric look. I don't do to much refurbishing of finds. I often think I would like too but really have no space for things :-) Have a wonderful evening!

What a marvelous chair! Other than an occasional item that might need a little paint, I usually enjoy my thrift store finds just as they are.

Susan, thank you for your comments on my blog.:)

Love the chair...your daughter did a wonderful job decorating it. I have been visiting some of my friends blogs and their friends and some how ended up here on your blog.LOL. I am glad I did as I see you post every day...I just started a one month challenge for myself to post daily on my blog and your blog is giving me some incentive. I hope you do not mind that I am a new follower. Dee :)

Wow, she's got an eye for a good makeover, doesn't she? It looks great! I haven't made over anything in a long time but this is inspiring.

One of my all time favorite made over items was a jacket I bought for my daughter when she was about 6 (she's 26 now:). I found a boy's black denim jacket at a consignment store and trimmed it with red ribbon and lace so it would look like a girl's jacket. It looked great and she liked it a lot. Mission accomplished!

Have a great weekend,
Karen
