A Wonderful Flea (Market)
Vermont is a beautiful state to visit in spring, summer or fall.
Brave souls who don't mind snowy weather and slick driving conditions might even love it in winter.
A really wonderful place to visit if you like antiques and flea markets is here:
We had so much fun the day we drove there.
This outdoor market on a grassy "floor" has a large variety of treasures.
How would you like this mechanical swimming froggie with a baby on his back?
Look at this little raccoon mama and baby bank. Too late. I bought it for one of my sisters who feeds raccoons on her deck!
One can find little chairs!
And big birds. (Not of the Sesame Street variety. These are big RED birds, not yellow.)
There are colorful wind decorations, too!
How sweet it is. Wouldn't you just love some peanut butter on toast with Vermont honey right now?
Sunglasses anyone?
And kitty cat lovers would go crazy over this dealer's adorable cats!
DO YOU LIKE TO GO TO FLEA MARKETS?
IF YES, WHAT IS THE BEST THING YOU EVER FOUND AT ONE?
We have swap meets here with all kinds of stuff. I am afraid I do not frequent them often at all. Glad you enjoyed your trip to Vermont.
ReplyDeleteI love Vermont! I didn't get there this year, but for sure next year. Flea markets can be so much fun and if you know what you're looking for, can be very successful. This one looks like a winner.
ReplyDeleteI went to Vermont once but I would love to have been able to go to Tasha Tudors garden.Have you ever gone there?
ReplyDeleteI love fleamarkets!!!
I am so glad you were able to visit me again-hopefully the problem is fixed for good as I would miss all your sweet comments.
Enjoy your weekend.
Carolyn
Hi my friend...I have missed you with the wedding and all our family sickness. I love flea markets and any kind of shopping for fun stuff. I think the best thing I ever found was a wonderful ceramic turkey that sits on my table every Thanksgiving. When I get it out this year, I'll blog about it so you can see it. I LOVE those little chairs in your blog!
ReplyDeleteI have only been to Vermont once and I did get to go to Tasha Tudors garden.
Much love, Linda
I don't go to Flea Markets too often. So much 'junk' and not enough 'junque'!
ReplyDeleteStill they are fun sometimes. I found a great set of teacups for 25 cents once!!
I LOVE flea markets - I don't think or I haven't heard of too many flea markets around here - but yours looked fantastic! So colorful and fun.
ReplyDeleteHi Everybody!
ReplyDeleteHope your weather is as gorgeous as it is here, today. Cool, sunny, glorious!
I want to welcome this blog's 322nd Follower - G from Balboa Design Studio. She is an educator and artist with an art degree and a specialization in graphic design.
Thank you SO MUCH for following, G, and I hope you stop by a lot! Would love to have to visit.
Great day is wished to all! Hugs, Susan
It is raining here now...all day. So getting a chance to visit your flea market was fun. One of best finds was a small oval Blue Willow platter in a flea market in Wisconsin...just going down the road and saw platter I had been seeking for years in back of some other things!
ReplyDeleteYou live in the land of fall splendor and great places to visit.♥
