For awhile, pots and pans storage caused a lot of frustration around here.
Finally, my hubs hung them on a wall in a staircase off the kitchen. Problem solved!
For a long time, however, all the baking pans and cookie sheets were stored in the oven.
Of course, every time I needed to use it, out they all came, piled helter skelter on top of the stove. Frustrating.
I suggested to my hubs that he hang up on a wall all the pans that had holes.
He went one better. He made holes in the pans that didn't have them.
Now they are all up on the wall near the pots, pans and lids and I am so relieved.
I can actually turn on the oven without having to empty it first. Hurray for hubs!
DO YOU HAVE SUFFICIENT STORAGE FOR POTS, PANS AND BAKING PARAPHERNALIA?
Great idea. WShat a lucky girl to have someone there that does whatever you want!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely do not have adequate storage for all my baking pans. I keep a lot down cellar but my baking stones and sheet pans are kept in the oven. Like you I have to take them all out when I want to use the oven. Pain in the neck!!! I love your idea and it looks really neat too.
ReplyDeleteI have 2 cake tins a patty cake tin and two baking dishes when my kids left home they took a few pans with them and I didn't replace them, I don't need so many cooking for two as four so storage is not a problem now plus a new kitchen with twice as much space helped.
ReplyDeleteMerle......
Great idea, and great that your husband took care of things that way!
ReplyDeleteI don't think there is ever adequate storage for our pots, pans, and other baking/cooking equipment! It seems that I am constantly reorganizing to create enough space to accommodate something else I think is a worthy addition.:) A pot rack really helps, but my tall husband often knocks his head on the pans hanging there.
Have a good Monday!
xo Nellie
I never thought about hanging pans on the wall. I need to think some more about it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool way to store your pots and baking pans. I don't have a wall to do that but it would making finding them much easier! Hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteJust like Paul did for Julia! My friend worked on a model of her kitchen for the Smithsonian and was amazed how everything had it's place...even on the walls! XOXO
ReplyDeleteHey this looks very handy for you. Now you have more cabinet space to fill up again!!! :)
ReplyDeleteMine are all just thrown inside a cupboard that is a big jumbly mess. No organization going on over here. I love that yours are displayed like a gallery wall of kitchen cooking ware. Great idea. Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteThat was a great idea - and your hubs was great in doing that for you.
ReplyDeleteI never have enough storage!!
We had to down size everything when we moved to our apartment last year...but I rarely cook so I do not miss my pans...but I may glean your idea for the one's Ido have. We have a little pantry that has a small back wall...this would free up a little more cabinet space for us. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI have all my pots and pans in cupboards. I have LOTS of cupboard space and no where to hang them like you do so I make do with what I have.
ReplyDeleteI think you have a great husband!
Brilliant! And this would have worked in one of our "past" houses....but not this one.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, and they look beautiful on the wall, too! Yes, you definitely have a wonderful husband!
