Seek Sweet Serenity This Sunday
(Photo taken inside St. Paul's Church in Stockbridge, MA)
Some days of life speed by faster than runaway trains.
Stress builds.
Blood pressure rises.
Hearts beat faster and faster.
It even becomes difficult to breathe.
Today, seek sweet serenity.
Sit for a moment, outside if possible.
Just be rather than do.
May your day be filled with sweet serenity.
IS IT HARD FOR YOU TO JUST "BE" RATHER THAN "DO?"
Great advice today Susan! I like it a lot.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Sunday!
Sometimes harder.... Getting easier the older I get :)
ReplyDeleteAm working on the BEING...hard with others around, but not giving up yet!
ReplyDeleteGoing to a Chopin concert this afternoon...talk about wonderful serenity!
ReplyDeleteWonderful lesson.
ReplyDeleteYES - I tend to be a workaholic and this weekend I am just being. sandie
ReplyDeleteSitting is always good in the sun is best early in the morning.
ReplyDeleteMerle.....
The body and mind need rest. Thanks for the reminder. I am more of a doer, I admit.
ReplyDeleteI plan to take your advice today. It's been a stressful week and I need a break! Hope your day is a good one.
ReplyDeleteSomehow we are programmed to believe we are not productive enough unless we are always "doing" something! I must confess a slight bit of guilt whenever I take time to just "be."
ReplyDeleteGreat post, Susan!
