The Scarecrow Kids Are Back

One year while shopping, I came across a scarecrow kid carrying a welcome sign.

It was love at first sight. Into my shopping cart he went.

Wouldn't you know it, the kid wanted a sister. He got one.

Then, the duo wanted a brother.  They got one.

Then a second sister joined the family.

Oh boy, there's Honey Cat, waiting to go inside to eat her tuna!

Every time I go out and come home again, my welcoming committee makes me smile. A lot.

The rest of the year, they hang out together in the attic.  They share one great big plastic storage bag!

So the front porch now has the kids, as I like to call them, a bright and cheery pumpkin-covered welcome mat, two chrysanthemums,  two pumpkins, a basket of fall flowers on the old chair, and an autumn welcome plaque.

Who said something about being compulsive?  Who are they talking about, pray tell?

DO YOU HAVE ANY (SCARECROW)  KIDS?

  3. They are adorable and I can see how they make you smile! I used to make a scarecrow every year when the guys were smaller but kinda fell out of the habit. Buying pre-made ones would make it a whole lot easier!

    Enjoy your day!

  5. These are absolutely adorable! Now I want one - or two!! The only scarecrow we have is the one that adorns the wreath I will hang on the door in a couple of weeks. Signs of fall are not too visible around here as yet.

    Have a great Tuesday, Susan!

  9. No scarecrow kids around here. Can't even think about Autumn with temperatures still above 100 degrees every day. Your welcoming committee sure is cute. Best wishes, Tammy

  10. Hey that little mama scarecrow needs a little baby - then it will be a complete family.

I love your porch Susan - so very fall and wonderful.

My decorations for fall are done by my grandson and no scarecrows allowed - skeletons, spiders, webs, and so forth.
