Fire in the Sky

It was an October day's end as I walked across B.J.'s parking lot to my car.

(B.J.'s is a huge warehouse store).

Before slipping behind the steering wheel, my attention was drawn to the horizon.

There, right before my eyes, was one of the most profoundly incredible sunsets I've ever seen.

The rims of huge clouds dazzled,  as if God had dipped them into a bucket of melted gold!

I stood there in the parking lot, quite transfixed.

To the far left, what was left of the sun sizzled on the horizon.

Nearby trees were bathed in the sunset's afterglow.

Pinks, golds, a smattering of blue, lavender and gray whirled around in the sky as if God were giving quite an art lesson!

Such spectacular sunsets are His gifts to us, His children.

They are ours for the viewing, without asking.

Isn't He a generous and talented God?

Being a "navy" brat, I know..."Red sky at night, sailor's delight!" Breathtakingly beautiful October sky; what a contrast to the people on the eastern seaboard bracing for a horrific storm, XOXO

Yes, indeed! Magnificent. And so many people just go on about their busy lives without ever noticing all the free gifts that are given to them each and every day. I am always looking out and looking up to find my own daily treasures. :) Best wishes to you, Tammy

Yes, you can always see God in nature. Good luck to you too Susan. I'm watching to see if they will cancel school tomorrow. Do you remember last year around this time? I can't believe we are in for another storm.

Breath taking Photography. Perfect timing it seemed.for the sky.

This is sort out of contact here.

Your hair is so cute on your profile. Looks so good on you.

Not anyone can wear that style.

So back to your pictures. Lovely.

Hi, Susan!
What a glorious, glorious sunset! Such an extravagant display of God's love!
And I always have a couple of loaves of pumpkin or zucchini bread in the freezer. Saves me so much time and effort at the last minute!
My favorite dessert? I think I have more than one....my super overload chocolate brownies, my choc chip cookies, and fruit crisp recipes and I made an wonderful coconut custard pie tonight. Not that I am bragging on myself, but I do love to tweak recipes to my own taste!
