Goodbye, Adios, Au Revoir, Sayonara to Autumn

(Today we are joining Show and Tell Friday on Cindy's blog, My Romantic Home.)
Stop by her terrific blog and check out all the great entries but be forewarned. You might spend your whole day there!

When I first saw the sweet angel statue, it called sweetly to me.

What a darling image it portrayed.

It would look perfect in our backyard was the thought that kept coming into my mind and heart so angel came home with me.

Sure enough, little angel looked just smashing in a plant hanger on the fence  behind our backyard fountain.

All spring, summer and fall, every time I sat by the fountain, angel kept good, silent company.

Finally, the weather turned cold. Rain pelted angel.  Time to come in for the winter.

So this week, I brought angel in.  It sits in the kitchen sink, needing a toothbrush scrub to get all the dirt from inside the cracks.

When angel is clean as can be, it'll be brought into the downstairs bathroom until next spring.

Sweet angel, watch over us all winter, okay?

DO YOU BELIEVE ANGELS WATCH OVER US?

  1. How good you brought your little angel sculpture in for the winter. I know Jesus watches over His people, and he may send angels from time to time.

  2. I love the fact that autumn has finally arrived where I live. It rained all day and is supposed to rain tomorrow and the next day..at last...at last..no more 90 degree temps...love it and I love angels. I think each one of us has a guardian angel that watches over us.

  4. Your angel is very sweet, I'm not sure if we have guardian angels but it is a nice idea and very comforting.

  5. I read so fast that I thought you found a permanent place for the angel in the kitchen sink... praying someone else would do the dishes.

  9. Oh, yes, I believe in angels. The Bible calls them "ministering spirits," and I believe that many of them work overtime! Thank you for sharing this lovely one with us. :-)

  10. Sweet angel.....I do believe in angels. The Bible tells us they are messengers of God and that they watch over us. I do not believe they are the cute little angels like your statue....In the Bible whenever any one saw them people fainted and the angel always had to say fear not.:)
