Soda Case Holiday Knick Knacks

Today we are joining Kathy's Home and Garden Thursday on her charming blog, A Delightsome Life.

Go on over and see all the delightful entries featuring homes and projects throughout blogland!

"It's Christmas time in the city, and the snow is falling down."  This is a line from one of Elvis's Christmas songs.

Here's my own version of that line:

"It's Christmas time in the city, and the knick knacks are getting changed around."

It's fun to change the lyrics to holiday songs.

It was also fun filling up the wooden case, that once housed Coca Cola bottles, with holiday charmers.

The little Santa bear shown at the top of this post, and bottom left of the wooden case, is no bigger than your baby finger.

And look at these cute gingerbread people!

There are snowmen and more teeny tiny bears, too.

Up on top of the shelving unit are colorful letters that spell out "Joy."  They were hand-painted in El Salvador, Central America.

The holidays should be filled with fun and whimsy and displaying little dodads can help contribute to both!

HOW DO YOU BRING FUN AND WHIMSY INTO THE HOLIDAY SEASON?

I love whimsy...I have a cute little wooden tree that makes me smile. Now that you mention what makes me smile I just realized I use to have a limp and limber little moose that I let hang over a shelf...I wonder where it is?
