The Angels of Love "Flew" In

Today we are joining Thrifty Things Friday over at Diann's The Thrifty Groove.

Stop by there and see all the things people get for bargain prices!

We are also joining Show and Tell Friday on Cindy's blog, My Romantic Home.

Cindy's was the first blog I ever saw in blogland. I was enchanted (and still am!) Stop by and say hi.

A small legion of angels came out of tissue paper hiding in the attic, to help decorate around here for Valentine's Day.

As the Christmas decor went up, the angels, one by one,  came down.

Most of them were thrifted at yard and estate sales or thrift shops.

They now adorn the front hall table.

The plan is to add red ribbons around all of their heavenly little necks.

The only angel who has a red ribbon right now usually hangs out outside by the backyard fountain.

But in winter, it's too cold outdoors for humans or beasts (or angels) so he spends winters inside.

It's amazing how many white angels have come home.

They seem to be absolutely impossible to resist.

I mean, how can there ever be enough angels in our lives?

Most people in love consider their spouses or boy and girlfriends to be angels, right?

At least at the beginning?

So angels are a perfect addition to the day of love.

The fact that none of the sweet things cost much money makes them even more precious!

DO YOU DECORATE FOR VALENTINE'S DAY?

  1. You are dressing them up for Valentines! I think that is pretty - and I love to know the angels up above us are watching us and taking care of us at all times.

  2. I enjoy having a few things around that are appropriate for Valentine's Day. Not a lot of particular decorating, though.

Your angels give such a special touch for Valentine's Day. I really like the red ribbon around their necks.

  10. We don't usually decorate for Valentine's Day, but since it's my hubby's birthday, we always do something special. I have a heart-shaped cake pan that sees some activity at that time, and chocolate makes the perfect filling for it! Yes, he's a chocoholic too! :-)

I adore angels and cherubs...I have many inside and out...but the angel you have that you state usually sets out by the fountain in the garden....she is so beautiful. If you ever decide to sell...shhh...adopt, I would be delighted to pay her fees.

  16. You have a nice collection of angels. I have some around here but even inside, they don't stay white for very long and then are so hard to clean, so I am slowly weeding them out. Wishing you a fabulous Friday! Tammy

  17. Yes, I DO - decorate a bit for Valentine's Day. And now you've inspired me. I have some gold cherubs and angels (and I even know right where they are!) that are going to get a red ribbon - or maybe white - around their little necks :) Thanks for the motivation!!!

  23. Your post is a gentle reminder that Valentine's Day is so very close and these little Love Angels are perfect for the occasion. I'm not really a big decorator, but I certainly do honor this day with hearts. I make sugar cookies that I send my grands and make a chocolate cake in the shape of a heart for my hubby. XOXO

  26. I do not decorate for Valentine's day but I do have a little wreath Mom made and put that outside my front door. I like to display my cards that I get for that day though on my red and white tablecloth in the dining room! Have fun with the angels!
