Winter Storm Leaves an Icy Aftermath

A frigid cold front Tuesday night hit the area where we live.

Upon awakening Wednesday morning, I looked out the window and saw that quite a bit of snow had fallen.

Snow-covered tree branches looked like long arms ready to reach into the window!

It was beautiful outside but very, very c-c-c-c-c-old.

After breakfasts, scraped and cleaned off our cars while hubs worked on unearthing the sidewalks from their snowy covers.

Once back inside, it was warm and cozy.

So what do bloggers do on snow (and all) days?

Run for the camera, of course.

As you can see, there is purple glass in the kitchen windows for a change from the holiday season's red and green.

In the photo below, it looks like somebody's pouring snow into the glass, doesn't it?

Isn't it wonderful to be inside our homes on inclement weather days?

If we are able to stay home, we are lucky!

DOES IS SNOW WHERE YOU LIVE?

  1. On very rare occasions, we may have some snow. Pictures of snow are always pretty, giving no hint of the complications that snow can cause.

    I LOVE that purple!

  5. We do get some snow, but it usually doesn't last very long on the ground. However, one Christmas, 4 years ago, it snowed almost 25 inches over a weeks time...not a good time. We are in a cold spell right now and even our lake has an ice layer. Stay warm and bake! XOXO

  8. We actually have some snow predicted for later today, but around here, we don't look for it till we see it coming! I LOVE the purple, and since that's my hubs fave color, I'm not going to show him these pictures! All that snow makes for some lovely scenery, and gives us a chance to stay inside and enjoy some hot chocolate and brownies....as long as the power doesn't go out!! Have a wonderful day, Susan! :-)

  9. Hi Susan,
We usually always have snow but luckily this year we have had very little --- of course the season isn't over.
I like most people love how pretty fresh snow appears -- but by the second day forget it (ugly, dirty, icy, and a mess). By the way Susan, thanks again for visiting my blog. I visit your blog in the a.m. and start my day happily so now I am both a reader and a follower.

  17. If I had snow like that, I'd be at the ready with my camera for sure. No snow in South Florida. This has been a hot winter. Not just warm, hot. But we just had a cool front pass and it's supposed to finally be in the 50's tonight after weeks of 80+ degree highs. It feels wonderful!
