The hostess lined up the treats on a table in the entrance hall, ready to give to guests when they were about to leave.
My sweet cousin put these together.
They had fun stickers such as this pink hippo and darling little heart.
Inside was a delicious heart shaped cookie with raspberry jam and a dusting of sugar, shown at the top of this post.
Also, a piece of chocolate.
And a tea bag!
Isn't that a fun way to make guests feel extra special?
DO YOU RECALL ANY FAVORS YOU RECEIVED AT BABY SHOWERS?
I always give little gifts when friends come over or when I meet up with them for a lunch date. I just think it's a nice way of saying, "thank you." I like that your host felt the same way; lovely gift bag, XOXO
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't recall any special favors from baby showers. It really doesn't take much to make guests feel special, though, and this particular favor you have mentioned sounds quite perfect!
ReplyDeleteThat was a very special gift bag. I am glad that they remembered all the important things --- cookie, chocolate, and tea!!! Such gracious hospitality!
ReplyDeleteI think gift bags are so thoughtful and fun to get. :) I enjoy seeing what people put in them.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get any favors from the baby showers I attended but I bet you guys felt like kids at a birthday party when they get goodie bags to take home. Nice idea!
ReplyDeleteHello from Spain, i do not recall any special favors from baby showers. Great idea. I like your pics. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea! The last baby shower I attended didn't have favors, but there was a wonderful luncheon with yummy treats.
ReplyDeleteHave a great rest of the week,
Karen :)
I love this idea. Children always get gift bags! Adults need to have fun too! These are great and live the treats inside.

I have never received any gift bag or favor from any shower I have attended, bridal or baby!! This is a lovely idea, though, and if I'm ever the hostess for such a shower, I might be encouraged to do something like this. I'm sure that each guest felt appreciated!

ReplyDeleteThat cookie looks quite yummy, and anything chocolate and I'm all over it.
ReplyDeleteTea and chocolate...what more bounty can one ask for?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to a baby shower in such a long time, my friends are too old and none of younger people I know are not having babies.
ReplyDeleteMerle....
I think that is the sweetest party favor ever. Simple but thoughtful. The best kind. :) Hugs, Tammy
ReplyDeleteThat was sweet - it was like you could go home and rest with a little treat - just for you.
