Sometimes mistakes turn out to be blessings-in-disguise.
Recently, while attending a birthday party, I ran out to my car to retrieve my camera.
I wanted to take a photo of the roses centerpiece.
Well baby, it was c-c-c-c-old outside.
When I went to snap the photo, the lens of the camera fogged up.
At first, I was worried about having left the camera in the freezing cold car.
However, I liked the way the final photo came out.
It was kind of misty!
Eventually the camera was back to normal but I was happy to have the misty shot to share with you!

It turned out so pretty. I took a photo and the flash didn't flash and yet I had this great shot when it was all said and done...you just never know.

This is a really great effect for those lovely roses!! Most of my mistakes turn out badly, but I did take a picture of some snow out our patio door a couple of years ago that reflected the kitchen light through the door. It looked a bit mysterious, and I enjoyed it a lot! It was sort of like having a picture of the moon in broad daylight! HA!!!

ReplyDeleteI changed the contents of a couple of bookcases around and the lower half of one of them didn't turn out as well as I thought it would, so I put a two seater lounge in front of it ...and now my Mum has decided she likes sitting here,looking up the hallway and out the front door....

ReplyDeleteBeautiful soft edges and misty look that, to me, is perfect for those delicate roses. Everyone says, "don't shoot into the sun". My hanging plant on our front porch looked so lovely as the sun was setting, but by the time I had the camera set up, the sun was directly in the way. I shot anyway and loved the illumination of the the leaves when backlit. So much so, this is how most of the photography I take and cherish was started. My photography is my heart, my love of the Lord and the difference HE makes when HE "lights up all life". I believe if we listen to the quiet voice of spirit within us, we find more and more what seemed a "mistake" was really another level of creativity being unveiled in us.
