Valentine Surprises

The generosity and kindness of  people in the blogging community never cease to amaze me.

Last week the postman brought a thick envelope from Bookie in Missouri. Her blog is Claudia's Page.

Inside was this box.

She knows I love miniatures of all kinds and  sent me three really amazing treasures.

There  were two darling red pitchers about the size of one's baby fingernail

They had belonged to her great-great grandmother.

Also in the package was a charming little thumbnail-sized tea cup and saucer!

Can you imagine how immensely happy that gesture made me?  I looked at the little items through tears of gratitude.

Yesterday, another totally unexpected package came in the mail Linda in Oregon!  Her blog is Lady Linda.

She included adorable handmade Valentine cards, one for me and a teeny tiny one for the dolls! (Linda knows I have a collection of dolls that I love.)

The "big" one is shown at the top of this post.

She also included three lovely pieces of Valentine candy that looks way too beautiful to eat.

The cameo  could hang on the end of a necklace if it weren't pink candy!

Linda included a tea bag, too, and I can't wait to try that pomegranate raspberry tea!

These lovely, unexpected gifts from dear blogging peeps came even before Valentine's Day arrived and they filled my heart with love.

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN SURPRISED BY FRIENDS IN BLOGLAND?

  5. Since I'm not a blogger, I do not receive gifts from blogland, but I have received some wonderfully unexpected gifts from Facebook friends! One friend has pecans growing in her yard, and she sent me FOUR POUNDS of them, already shelled, last fall!! Her hubby is disabled, but he had helped her shell them, which makes them even more special to me. It's wonderful how God sends such special people into our lives to enrich our experience on the earth! Love all these precious gifts, Susan!! :-)
