Delightful Candles

Sometimes in the supermarket, specialty candles hit the sale rack.

Recently, I  picked up some very nice votives made by Village Candle Company for a fraction of their original price.

A sweet buttercream scent was among the candles I bought and the fragrance is absolutely delightful.

It's a combination of sweet butter, vanilla bean and warm cinnamon.

It fills the entire downstairs with a sweet, yummy scent.

Just for the record, I have no affiliation with Village Candle Company, other than I like their candles.

The orange cinnamon is fabulous and  the maple butter? Yummified.

Now I've always been drawn to crystal and cut glass. If a piece has bangles and baubles hanging from it, so much the better.

The two little candle holders shown in this post currently adorn the front hall table and hold the butter cream votives.

Beauty and delightful fragrance are a nice combination!

WHAT IS THE LAST SCENTED CANDLE YOU HAD BURNING IN YOUR HOME?

A pine-scented candle for Christmas as I had a fake tree. Love your candle holders! The smells of those candles remind me of food so much..ha.

The candles you describe sound like they smell fabulous. Most recently we had a vanilla scented candle.

I have not burned candles in such a long time, because my hubby has a distaste of their fragrances. I do use a raspberry spray fragrance to mask the odor of smoke that comes up from the downstairs apartment, and he does not object to that, as it is such a clean and fresh scent, Your candle holders are lovely, and the description of those scents sounds delightful!

Hey Susan,
Thanks for your kind comment about my poem on Becky Povich's blog! My last candle purchase was pine...no big surprise for a Washington girl whose daddy was a lumberman!

It's been awhile...Christmas, I think. And I believe the scent was bayberry.

The one you describe REALLY sounds wonderful. Vanilla and combinations thereof are my favorites. I have so many candles back in the cupboard that I haven't been scouting them out lately. I'll bet there are some wonderful, new ones out there! (Someone mentioned vanilla lime...not that sounds intriguing.)

Butter cream, YUM. Although I don't burn candles like I used to, it is a rainy weekend here and I think I will follow your lead and light up!

I use candles especially in my kitchen; I just love how they freshen the air with their lovely scents; I lean towards floral, but honestly almost any will do, XOXO

Those little candle holders are charming. Cinnamon was the last candle I burned I think.

Love those dangles on all the candle holders that you've shared.

I actually have a clean cotton Yankee candle burning right now.

Well, my husband has the same objection as my sister's husband! He has a "thing" about fragrances, though he is able to tolerate a pumpkin or cinnamon scent. I would burn them more often if he had no objection.:-)

Have a great Saturday!

The last candle I had burning was a mozzie one not too nice to smell but they do work. Yours sound like they smell much better than mine, I like the sound of butter cream and cinnamon.

Very pretty! I bought a candle made by a young lady I have known since she was a child. She and her husband had a small candle making business and they had many scents. I bought the baby powder scented one and I will never burn it. Occasionally, I lift the metal lid and give a big sniff! It is wonderful!
