"Hop To It" and Welcome Guests with a Smile

Oh, I remember as a kid, singing "Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail, hippety, hoppety Easter's on its way..."

Do you remember that song?

Well, ol' Peter hopped down from the attic this week and took his yearly place on the front door.

One of my sisters made this darling wreath.

Outside in the little front entryway is this Easter sign, too.

Look at the bunny's heart-shaped nose, rosy cheeks and pink pads on his feet.   Isn't it adorable?

All of my sisters are pretty talented, in one way or another, so I feel very blessed to have them in my life.

I think it's great to welcome people to our homes with a little something that'll make them smile, don't you?

Here's another little fellow who welcomes guests from the front entryway.

That same crafty sister made this sign, too!

Put the old wooden chair back outside, too. It came in for the snowy winter.

Have a nice egg wreath over one of its sides.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE EASTER DECORATION?

  1. Well, at the risk of sounding like a fanatic, I try to focus on the Resurrection. I love to have empty crosses around ALL the time, because He lives!! I realize that baby animals and flowers are all symbols of new life, but I just prefer to focus on the REAL joy of Easter, and that is found in our victory through Christ. All of your things are cheery and welcoming, but they would not be my first choice. :-)

  2. Susan, what in the world is the above?

Easter here is sneaking up fast...not much getting done but taking care of the issues of elderly here. Things are pretty bad with father in law...enough said for now. You have a nice weekend!

  6. Hi Susan, your collection is so cute and I love the song but it gets stuck in my head.
I think my favorite decoration is a wooden German egg holder (for 6 eggs) with a bunny ringing a bell. I got it when my girls were little and have had it out every year. I have lots of German wooden bunnies and chicks and two big white German smoker bunnies. I will have to do a blog spot so you can see them.
