Time for a Double Birthday Party!

Birthday parties are among life's most precious  and special occasions.

The photos in this post are of a recent double , mother-and-daughter, birthday celebration.  They were born one day apart!

It was a fun affair with a grilled supper, presents and, of course, birthday cake and ice cream.

In this case, there were two cakes, one for each of the sweet birthday girls.

What could be more important than celebrating a little one's birth?

It makes children as well as adults feel special, valued and loved.

Life is filled with all kinds of sorrows and disappointments.

It can be snuffed out in a few seconds with an accident, a tornado, or an illness.

So when there's an opportunity to go to a birthday or any other kind of party, I'm game.

To me, gatherings are joyous.

To celebrate a loved one's birthday is a privilege to me. Unless my schedule makes it impossible, I love getting invitations to all occasions.

Here's one of the birthday girls. Isn't she adorable?

Call me up, even an hour before, and I'm there!

Life is to be celebrated! Enjoyed!  Shared.

I feel immensely blessed to have family members. They are gifts from God.

I lived far away from them for many years and missed every occasion.

Now, to be invited to celebrate their special moments fills my heart with deep happiness, gratitude and love.

DO YOU LIKE ATTENDING FAMILY PARTIES?

  9. Oh, I love any family gathering! Our children are not nearby, so the rare occasion that we have to be with them is always special. I am blessed that my dear sister is not far away, just on the other side of town, and she graciously includes us in the family Thanksgiving celebration, and we are able to get together for our own birthdays at a convenient restaurant. Even though my age is creeping upward, I still enjoy another birthday, as long as there's cake and ice cream involved, especially chocolate! :-)
