Simplicity and Solitude in Nature
Today, Sunday, I wish you time, no matter how brief, to reflect on the boundless beauty of nature.
Halfway down a mountain recently, a friend pulled the car over to the side of the road and stopped.
We got out to enjoy the incredible vistas.
The only sound heard was the faraway chattering of birds.
The silence at that high elevation calmed every fiber of my body.
There were no neon lights, no sizzling colors, no blaring music and no people.
A silent bee landed gently on a flower.
The white puffy clouds moved at a slow pace across the blue sky.
Nature's gifts, as always, were beautiful, quiet and simple.
That afternoon, I savored the gift of being alive.
Today, I hope you find some gifts of nature to call your own.
My current vistas aren't as expansive as yours were here. But this morning I stepped out the back door to breathe in the dark silence and it, too, was large. And calming. Beautiful and simple.
ReplyDeleteSending wishes for a sweet and sacred Sunday to you, Sue ♥

The Lord gifts us with such beauty each and every day not just on a Sunday. It is up to us to be quiet and still and enjoy his vistas.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous vistas, so calming and serene, nothing better tan nature to be so inspiring and so heart warming. I have Woods and a river I love to see through my kitchen window and it just quiets my soul.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet and kind visit.
Big hugs,
FABBY
What a complete blessing to be able to experience that much beauty around you....and to totally recognize it as God's creation! It like He was saying, "Here, Susan. I made this just for you. Share my love." ♥
