Thousands of Candles and Much More

When our kids were little, we took them in the fall to Yankee Candle Company in South Deerfield, Massachusetts, to ride a hay wagon.

It was always a great excursion.

The kids are all grown up now and Yankee Candle Company's flagship store has grown immensely compared to the old days.

Today it's an entire village.

There's so much to see and do there besides find great candles in hundreds of scents.

See a Bavarian Village, visit Santa's workshop, look at a train circling rooms near the ceiling, buy some fudge and on  and on-----you can do all those things and much, much more.

Even the manicured grounds, resplendent with flowers, are fun to see and enjoy.

There's also a show visitors can see that features animated
musicians.

You sit on benches in front of the stage.

The musicians sing and play instruments. They look so real that it defies description yet they are not human!

They talk like humans, sing like humans and play instruments like humans but they are animated figures.

We loved the show during a recent visit to Yankee Village and some of the photos in this post of of the animated musicians.

HAVE YOU HEARD OF YANKEE CANDLE COMPANY?

IF YES, DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE CANDLE FRAGRANCE?

  5. Yes, I know about Yankee Candle Company. My favorite scents have to do with pumpkin, apple, and cranberry - all popular during the fall season.

  6. Hi Susan! I'm so envious that you live close enough to their store to visit and shop there! I remember you wrote about Yankee Candles before, too, and I thought the same thing then. I don't have a favorite scent, but I really do love fall-ish scents like Nellie!

  7. I am also familiar with Yankee Candle Company, but I do not buy candles often because my hubs is not fond of "artificial" scents in our home. For that reason, my favorite scents are usually rose or raspberry. This looks like a really fun place to visit, with all the other entertainment they have available for guests! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Maybe I'll get up that way some day! :-)

We don't have Yankee Candles in Australia to my knowledge... but my favourite candle scent is Champagne Ginger by Kobo.... it's combination of ginger and Siberian pine...my brother gave me one for a birthday present and I love it.
