The Sweet Scent of Candles

Candles of many different scents burn all the time around here.

It's so nice for visitors to walk in and asked what some delightful fragrance is.

Almost without a doubt, it's coming from a candle.

When I walked into a store in Vermont a couple years ago, the scent was so luscious that I asked what kind of candle was burning.

It was maple butter by Yankee Candle Company.

Village Candle Company of Maine carries a maple nut candle.

Guess  what?  I got one of each for my September birthday.

So the whole house smells like pancakes with butter and maple syrup! ha! And it's wonderful.

WHAT CANDLE COMPANY DO YOU LOVE MOST?

  1. I love bayberry at Christmas best of all...nearly time to use a few candles as rain and cold is coming...I am careful but do use them on such days.

  2. I love candles and have a billion even though I have given 500 million away. I used to burn them all the time, ever since I was a kid. But now my husband has COPD and can't be around burning candles. So I only use them when he is off hunting or fishing. He will be gone the end of Oct all thru end of November. Candle time. I love all food scented candles, even licorice which I do believe I am the only person who loves the scent. I don't really have a certain brand fave but I know when I see them whether or not they will burn well. And I know I am the only one who doesn't much care for Yankee. Doesn't seem to burn right or smell right.
Oh. And I also like the candles that smell like clean laundry or linen or such. Sorry comment is so long. Guess I am in a talkitive mood.

  3. Hi Susan, I have to say, Yankee Candle is one of my favorite companies too. I like the vanilla ones and fall fragrances too.
My friend LaVonne says my house always smells like fall!

  5. I love candles and enjoy going to friends or my DIL when they have a candle giving a delicate fragrance to the rooms. Unfortunately my Hubbie doesn't like them...he's not very good with quite a lot of scents...so I can't burn them here...I envy those who can! Joan

  8. Candles are the best! I love the cinnamon based ones for fall and pine and bayberry for the winter months. Come March I yearn for spring fragrances so I choose lilac, gardinia or stargazer lily. In the summer there are so many fresh flowers and the days are so long and bright I tend not to burn many candles, except for at dinner. Always have unscented dinner candles burning at dinnertime, whether inside or out.

I'm burning Honey Pumpkin Pie right now; I think you would like it!
