Christmas Music Box

The world of miniatures fascinates and music boxes tingle the heart.

Put them both together and you have a winner.

At a yard sale, my eagle eyes spotted a small wooden box with glass on top.

Lifting the cover momentarily took my breath away.

Two horses pulling people rode around a lighted Christmas tree, the size of half your baby finger!

A teeny tiny lighted house (shown to the right)  was part of the scene, too, as well as an "itsy bitsy" snowman, bridge,  people and so on. You get the drift.

All the while as the miniature scene enfolded before one's eyes, the box played "Deck the Halls."

The music box was set on small, knobs for "feet" and one was missing. Consequently, the price  was a mere $2.99.

Brand new, I'm sure this piece went for a lot more so I was kind of glad the foot was missing!

 (Hubs could easily replace it!)

Recently, the music box came down from a window sill in my home office so I could show it to my baby granddaughter.

She loved it, too, and wanted to pick up the teeny horses in her tiny fingers!

DO YOU HAVE ANY MUSIC BOXES? IF YES, WHAT ARE THEY LIKE?

Absolutely cute music box! I have never had one, but I had (still have) a rotating musical Angel, she plays that Christmas carol I cannot let you listen to now. My all time favorite toy!

What a deal on the sweet Christmas music box. I bet your grandaughter was fascinated by it.

I have a Christmas music box that features 3 little bears decorating a tall tree to the tune of "Deck the Halls". It is such fun to unwrap it every December and put it on display; just like seeing and hearing an old friend.

I will most definitely introduce my little grandaughter to it this Christmas season; her first! I'll have to teach her the song also, as she seems to really enjoy music.

Hey, that's a gift idea; a music box for baby's first Christmas!

WOW WOW WOW WOW!!! I am in love with this music box. The cutest holiday treat! What a great find. I love music boxes. I have an old one in my tea room that I adore. You crank the handle and you have to put these metal round disc on it to play the different tunes. My grandbaby loves it.
Have missed your blogs dear friend....maybe I can get back on track. I have been saying that all fall and it just hasn't happened. Life is busy, but life is good and I feel so blessed.

What a sweet music box AND what a deal you got! I only have one music "box" It's actually not a box but an angel that my Mom gave me years ago. I love having it out at Christmastime.
My sister-in-law has a huge collection and keeps them in a special glass-door cabinet!
