Gentle

We speak of the rain falling gently on the ground.

We are gentle with little babies who have come  to us so fresh from God.

A gentle word soothes angry souls.

A gentle smile fills the heart with love.

When we are worried or preoccupied with something, we are told to be gentle with ourselves.

A gentle touch, a gentle look, a gentle lullaby, all create peace.

May your Sunday be a gentle one.

WHAT IS ONE  THING YOU CAN DO OR SAY TODAY THAT WILL EXPRESS GENTLENESS?

  1. Lovely post Susan but I can't think of anything right now. x

  2. There's a litter of 4 month old kittens dumped in the park. I will take them food and sweet talk them as I empty a couple cans of food into a dish.

  3. It is easy to spread light if we turn our focus from ourselves to others. A simple kind word can bring much joy.

    Have a lovely fall week!

  4. A gentle hug for a friend who you don't see too often is always appreciated. Or whenever you see a friend just give them one!

  5. It is a gentle day here...perfect weather again but a front is coming. So we are dumping flower pots, taking down umbrella, turning bird baths. We are slow and gentle about it, saying good bye to a season we so hate to go.
There is gentle sun, gentle breeze and was a last lunch on the deck today.

  6. I love people being gentle - I just think that is so important.

Gentle can be a hug to someone who is hurting.

  7. Watching a beautiful sunset was a very gentle end to a quiet Sunday. Having a cup of tea and listening to some relaxing music brought much needed peacefulness. November is indeed a time for reflection and thanksgiving.

Hope your day was peaceful also.
