Penny the Pig

Today is my husband's and my 40th wedding anniversary!
 Can you imagine that?
That's a long time to be married!
He is the greatest gift of my life and I hope he feels the same way.
In a post next week, I'm going to tell you all about the incredible celebration we were blessed with.

Here's today's post. Hope you enjoy your Saturday!

One activity my baby granddaughter loved, when she'd come for a visit, was putting coins into a bank.

At first, I had a very colorful, ceramic piggy bank for her to practice with.

However, every time she pulled the pig closer to her, to slip the coins inside the opening, I was afraid it would go crashing to the floor.

So Penny the pig had to join the family.

She's a big ol' girl who is totally unbreakable.

Baby loves her and if Penny could talk, I'll bet she'd tell how happy she is with all the kisses and meals she's getting!

WHAT IS A  FUN ACTIVITY YOU LIKE TO DO WITH TODDLERS?

Happy Anniversary!

What a cute granddaughter and I love the piggy. My first nephew was born the year I graduated high school. I remember painting him a ceramic piggy bank.

Blessings to you and your husband this weekend.

Congratulations on your 40th. Blessings to both of you.
My favorite activity is playing make believe with my grandsons...it could be "pirates", "superheros","sword fights", "school..they being the teachers" or anything they can think of . We have such a good time.I love this time of their lives and wish they would never GROW UP.

Happy Anniversary, Susan. My husband and I are headed toward our 41st in June, and last Fall I went to my 50th high school reunion. Funny - I don't feel that old :-)

I used to love having tea parties with my granddaughter (she's 22 now - where did the time go?), my grandsons and I play cards, board games, or watch videos together - with special munchies, of course.

Happy 40th to you and hubs! Enjoy your day and may you celebrate many more happy years together.

Love the little pink piggy bank; what a great idea. Our little grandaughter loves to put things in and take things out of containers. This would be a fun activity for her when she is a little older as right now everything has to go into her mouth first. I'd like to know where you got the "unbreakable" pig. He is adorable.

So sweet! A great activity for hand-eye coordination. And when she's older, a lesson in saving for a rainy day. :) Tammy
