Rose-covered Glass Heart

One of my sisters who is an artist gave me a glass heart that she painted.

She covered it with lovely pink roses done with a one-stroke painting technique.

I would do anything to be able to paint pink roses like this but, alas, I don't have that talent.

I have had this lovely keepsake for many years but I especially love to put it out during Valentine's month.

It's hard to photograph because it's made completely of transparent glass but I hope you can get an idea of what it looks like.

It's sooooo pretty.

DO YOU HAVE ARTISTIC TALENT?

  1. Oh that is really pretty! I too can't paint like that but I seem to have a knack for creating parties and decorating my home. :) Happy Valentine's Day! Kit

  2. Such a pretty piece! I can tell you treasure it with all your heart.
I do a lot of crafting, but I find painting very difficult.
Have a great Valentine's week my friend.

  3. Hello from Spain: your glass heart is fabulous. Your sister is an artist. She paints beautiful flowers. Unfortunately I do not know how to paint. I do not have that ability. Keep in touch

  9. Ohhhh, it is sooooo beautiful! What an artist, she is!

I've tried painting in oils, a long time ago. Just a bit. And did more than one, with pastels. But haven't really tried much art, in a long time.

    Gentle hugs,
    Tessa~
