Yummy Apple Treat

Do you ever want to have a snack but don't want to ingest too many calories?

Here's a yummy treat that is not tooooo guilt-producing.

Slice up a nice apple with the peel on.

Add some cinnamon and a tad of brown or white sugar.

Next, add a tablespoon or so of granola. I use maple nut.

Pop the dish into the micro for three minutes.

Take it out, sprinkle on some pecans and add milk.

It's a little like indulging in apple pie but without the fattening crust.

That's all there's to it. Yummy and delicious.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SNACK?

  1. Lays potato chips..either kettle cooked or plain. I've always loved those and had to give them up for lent. They will always be my favorite snack and they are NOT good for you at all. HA. I also love apple pie..can't eat nuts so wouldn't be able to eat the treat you showed today.

  6. I bet that really does taste like apple pie! My favorite snack is walnuts - and maybe some dark chocolate chips tossed in. :-)

  12. I love anything with apples and your concoction sounds great. Will have to try it.

Hummus with tortilla chips is always good for a snack too. Love olives and crackers and cheese. Guess I could go on and on....must be hungry.
