A Stop at Texas Roadhouse

Last weekend, we had lunch  out at a Texas Roadhouse restaurant.

Now I had never eaten at one of those.

There are 400 of them in the USA and other places, according to our server.

The food was plentiful but, have to say that for my tastes, pretty bland.

They served peanuts and drinks, too, but we didn't indulge in either one.

This was the chicken salad. There was enough for a small army.

The warm rolls with cinnamon/sugar butter (margarine?) were good.

Here's one little reason the trip to Texas Roadhouse was so much fun!

For future reference,  will probably stick with Chipotle or Olive Garden when eating out on trips to Albany.

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO A TEXAS ROADHOUSE RESTAURANT?

I have not been to one yet but hope to try it in the Fall when we return South. Chipotle Mexican Grill was my favourite place to eat all Winter.
Have a great week.

I have not been to a Texas Roadhouse...but have seen them around. Our favorite chain is Zio's but I don't think you have them there! Thanks for the comment tonight on my whore house visit! I was afraid it might offend some but really, I enjoyed it and due to lack of staff could only see first floor! HOW I wanted to see the rooms!

I have never seen one here in Southern California so have never tried one. I guess you won't be back there after reading your post!

Never have been to a Texas Roadhouse, but it doesn't sound like I would like it. We do eat at Olive Garden when we are in Albany, but I think my favorite is Red Lobster. I guess it brings back memories of our younger years when we lived in Memphis, Tenn. We ate there whenever we could scrape up enough pennies to afford to go out to dinner! My husband was a student and I was teaching so the money was tight and a dinner out at the Red Lobster was such a treat!

I have, but since I don't eat meat, it wouldn't be a choice for me any longer. Plus, I just can't throw anything on the floor even if it is the thing to do. I was saving all my peanut shells on a plate and the waitress tried and tried to get me to dump them and I just couldn't. I live in a society where it is common place to throw trash in the streets and out windows and it is appalling to me in this day and age. So even at Texas Roadhouse, I refused to throw peanut shells on the floor. :) Have a great day. Tammy

I have to say I've never been to one or even heard of one! I don't think we have any in our immediate vicinity. I like to try new restaurants more than hubby. He likes to stick with what we know and like, so I'm not sure he'd want to ever try one if we came across one, but I would!
P.S. Are you as COLD as we are?? I actually turned the heat on a few minutes ago - on May 28th!
