Have a Happy Heart

Imagine walking into a home that has the sign, shown in today's post, hanging on the front door.

Even before you take a single step inside, wouldn't you feel the weight of the world lift from your shoulders?

I saw the sign in the Elizabeth Park Rose Garden in Hartford, Connecticut and loved it.

Years ago, one of my sisters even made a heart-shaped sign for me with that message.

It hung on our front door for quite awhile.

It's probably still packed in a box in the attic and, hopefully, it'll be found and used once again.

WHAT DO YOU THINK MAKES A HAPPY HEART? PLEASE TELL US! SHARE!

Hi Susan,
I just saw that you left me a comment about my miniature happenings! You are so funny, thanks for wanting to see more. That makes me smile. :)

I love your sign, Susan, and how special that it's from your sister. I have a saying that's hanging when you first come in my front door, and it says "home can heal, there is healing in home." I think it's so true.

What makes me happy?......a cup of good coffee.

love,
~Sheri

It's very intelligent sentence. I like saying "East or West home the best"

To have a happy heart you need, a few close friends and lots of people around to talk to.
You need to live within your means.
To try never to be unkind.
and a garden to sit in.

You have to enjoy each day to it's fullest; bad or good there is always something to be thankful for. I guess gratitude is the thing. It's not so much how many days you live, but how you live your days. I read that somewhere and it seemed to say it all.

Love the sign. Your post really makes me want to take a trip to the rose garden; it's on the way to my brother's house and so I will have to plan to go there soon.

Wishing you a happy heart today!

Being at peace with family and friends makes for a happy heart.

Yes and there is another saying - God is always here - bidder or not bidden. I think you have to have a happy heart - no matter what you are going through and it is not always that easy. I try to think of all the beautiful places there are in the world and how I would love to see them all.

Hi Susan,
Yes, I agree with you and Sandie!
One ought to have a happy heart, although it is not always easy.
We can try our best...
God made us to be His children with a happy heart.
Have a wonderful week, Susan!
God bless you, sweetheart.
Blessings,
Poet Starry.
