My favorite color is pink.
In my mind's eye, there would be all pink and white flowers in the front yard this summer but things turned out differently.
Two large geraniums just happened to be a kind of pastel apricot color instead of pink but that was okay because hubs planted impatiens on either side of the front walkway in the same color!
They actually matched the geraniums.
Then there were multi-colored pansies and blue muscari in the spring.
The pansies, though a little spindly, are still bobbing along.
So even though the all pink and white theme didn't make it, the display of multi-colored flowers i
s still lovely.
The other night, the sweet geraniums were bathed in the light of the late afternoon sun and they just made my heart leap with happiness.
It didn't matter a bit that they weren't pink or white.
Isn't that a lot like our life stories?
We don't always get what we want but we just need to appreciate and love what we get!
When we do that it makes life a little easier, too.
WHAT WAS THE LAST UNEXPECTED THING THAT YOU DIDN'T WANT BUT DECIDED TO ACCEPT?

The apricot color is gorgeous, especially bathed in sunlight. We thought we had a color theme in our front flower garden, too, but some of the flowers were mislabeled. They are all beautiful and we love each one that blooms!
For me that is a little personal to talk about..acceptance is what we need to do more often in life.
Love your flowers..all of them are so colorful and very pretty!
