Dioramas Make Wildlife Look so Real!


As a child, seeing dioramas at a small town museum was a thrilling part of life.

 They were small boxes, actually, tucked inside walls but their detail made them look very real.

I loved those dioramas!

 Well, recently, while vacationing in Colorado, we visited the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

Talk about dioramas that will knock your socks off!  Holy smokers!

 Today I'm sharing the lions, only.

In other posts, I'll show you some of the other animal and bird exhibits!  (Hope you won't get sick of seeing them!)

    Hello from Spain: the best diorama I saw was the recreation of the village of Nazareth, the birth of Jesus. It was a real town with water, fountains, trees, animals ... Your pictures are fabulous. Keep in touch

    The dinosaur exhibit at La Brea Tar Pits..those creatures looked very real and very scary.

    We have a cyclorama here in Atlanta - it is in the shape of a circle - and it is of the Civil War. It's really terrific. Been here a long time.

    The Museum of Science in Boston/Cambridge has some that are now quite old...
