After eating foods not normally consumed, including wayyyyyy too much sugary stuff, the body starts to yearn for "good" food, don't you agree?
The desire for greens and veggies, for example, took over last night so we had salads of mixed greens and arugula with lemon juice mixed with olive oil. They were delicious.
The rest of the meal was simply rice and some green beans tossed in olive oil and garlic. Yummy.
For breakfast recently, the fruit plate consisted of blood orange slices with kiwi and strawberries.
It was colorful and, mercifully, light eating.
Actually, the green of the kiwi and red of the strawberries made it a perfect combination for the Christmas holidays.
WHAT LIGHT FRUITS OR VEGGIES DO YOU ENJOY MOST?
Yes indeed! My kinda food. Happy holidays! Tammy

Hello from Spain: you're right. These days we eat too much food and not very healthy. The fruit is a good choice. I love strawberries and apple. Happy New Year. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteI had lots of fresh pineapple in Aruba and it was so good. Also fish, rich and steamed veggies. I need to eat like that at home!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite fruit is an apple. I have one every single day at lunch...an apple a day keeps the doctor away they say. However your fruit dish looks delectable.
ReplyDeleteI really do like all veggies and fruits - but you make them look so good - a lot is presentation!
ReplyDeleteWe received some great organic oranges and grapefruits for Christmas so we are getting our Vitamin C! Your fruit plate looked so appetizing and quite seasonal. Definitely time for healthy eating after all the overindulgence during the holiday.
ReplyDeleteHere's to good health!
Lovely, magazine lime puctures, but be careful.....many fruits have LOTS of sugar !!!!!
