Right now, it's very cold where we live in Massachusetts.
Brave weather people are predicting 30 degrees below zero for Wednesday night!
Now that's chilly.
We are in the heart of winter and it's not fun.
Thankfully, I have a warm coat that really does not allow any chilly air through.
However, it is so bulky that I feel like a rhinoceros driving behind the wheel of the car!
Anyway, Christmas decor is down. Several bins in an upstairs hallway await removal to the attic but I'm going to do it a little at a time.
Because we are in winter, I also go around our house looking for anything with flowers! Got to bring some spring into the darkness.
While it's too early for Valentine's Day decor, I did put some pretty hearts in a glass dish on the front hall table.
I love picking up hearts here, there and everywhere, whenever I see them.
Did you see this blog's new header? I snapped all kinds of photos of hearts around here for that.
Following written directions from my daughter, I can now do the headers myself and, quite truthfully, being a non-techie person, I'm very proud of that.
Hope you have a wonderful day today!
What a beautiful new header! =) Love all of your hearts. Keep warm and Happy New Year sweet friend. Valerie
ReplyDeleteI dress in lots of layers!
ReplyDeleteAnd I did notice your new header - you are really getting good!
Love hearts - they are so you.
Love the "hearts" header. Great job.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely cold weather here in the North East! Yikes. Layers, anything hot to drink, fires in the fireplace and snuggling with hubby keep me warm.
Keep warm during this cold snap. Going to be 30 on the weekend. ha ha
Oh Susan, it's so cold where you live. Please bundle up. It's been pretty chilly here too, but never gets that cold. Love your hearts, and I'm a big fan of hearts myself. So glad you can do your Header by yourself now. Jess does the design work on our blog, and I have yet to figure out the Header part. I'm working on things, one step at a time.
ReplyDeletelove,

Your header is beautiful! I need some good techie advice for mine.:) Stay indoors and keep warm! That's what we do here. The heat pump sometimes seems to run non-stop if the thermometer falls too far!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan! It's not that cold here, but house is freezing in +5 outside and without central heating... I do my best to keep my baby warm. I wear warm pajamas, drink hot tea or coffee the whole day... You keep warm too! Live your hearts around the house :)
ReplyDeleteThanky you Susan .!..XOXO from Poland
ReplyDeleteWell Susan,I can't even imagine 30below. We are in the midst of a heat wave of temps over 40c and terrible bush fires. We aren't effected as we live at the beach but so many in the hills have lost their homes.Luckily noone's life was lost. Stay warm my friend. xx
ReplyDeleteOh my, that is brutal. It is very cold here, too. Your lovely reminders that spring is around the corner make me hopeful.
ReplyDeleteYou are blessed to have a techie daughter. :) I like your new header. I just post one picture at a time- not good at that stuff. I knew when I came here you would be getting ready for Valentine's Day! Happy to see I was right!
ReplyDeleteSusan, I mailed you a card yesterday....hopefully you will receive it soon.I have had a lot of stressful issues going on recently and did not have time to respond. I will say that I felt honored to be thought of by you and your present came at a time that I needed it.♥ I hope to be back to blogging soon :) Dee
ReplyDeleteWhat do I do in freezing weather? I STAY out of it. No wonder I live in Southern California. Love your hearts and good luck putting all your decorations for the Christmas season away. I'm doing mine this weekend.
ReplyDeleteA lovely header, Susan. I have changed nothing on my page for long, long while for fear of getting lost never to return!
ReplyDeleteVery cold here too...to be -10 tonight, better than yours but very cold for us. The wind blows now and temps are falling. But sun is bright which helps me! I'm staying warm by baking and using the oven...chicken in there now!
Hello from Spain: I like your spring. Nice pictures. I could not live in your city. Too cold for me. I prefer the heat. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty little hearts! Your header is pretty too!
Have a great day!
Gina
I love your new header! Also, you should be so proud of yourself. I really must get a new header on my blog, but I honestly have not figured it out yet. That is a goal for 2015.
ReplyDeleteYou are ahead of me. The Christmas decorations are mostly stacked in the dining room. I hope to get everything in a box today to be taken to the storage shelves in the basement. My husband reminded me that tomorrow he will be home to help me all day long. I should not have been seduced by that. Now, I am tempted to wait until tomorrow to finish the job.
I also find hearts everywhere. My daughter asked if I look for the heart rocks I find and pick up. No, I don't. I just see them.
Love the new header!!
ReplyDeleteIt is going to be below zero here by the morning. I can tolerate it for the 5 minutes that I am outside running into the car or the house but my husband is a mail man and has to be out in it all day long which is rough!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Debbie
Hi Susan,
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! Thank you for your Christmas wishes! I have not gotten so far as to put away my holiday decor yet but will soon. I like to keep it up until my birthday and have a few friends over to enjoy.
We are awaiting a snowstorm tonight and so the commute to work tomorrow will be interesting.
Hugs,
Linda at Beautiful Ideas
Susan, your new banner is gorgeous! You did a beautiful job! I've packed away all of our Christmas as well. And like you, we are bracing for some VERY cold weather! I made sure to fill the suet feeders and the screen feeder with seed tonight so the 'early birds' will have something to eat. Stay warm!!!

I love hearts! Good job on the header. :) Tammy
