The Shadows of Our Lives

Hello Dear Blog Peeps:

When the sun came out the other day, it was cause for rejoicing.

Shining down on newly fallen snow in the backyard, it lit everything up.

Squinting my eyes, I ran for the camera to get a shot of the long shadows across the snow.

It made me think about life, itself.

We have times of shadows, don't we?

Times when our hearts are nearly breaking.

During those times, the shadows seem to be so dark, overwhelming and long-lasting.

But then, the "sun" or happy times return.

Like the scene in the yard, life is filled with sunshine and shadows but, in the end, the sunshine always wins!

May your Sunday be blessed and filled with sunshine (even if it's just in your heart!)

  3. Hello from Spain: you're right. Our life is full of light and shadow. I wish that eventually overcomes the sun. Currently my sun is my husband and daughters. Your pics are awesome. Keep in touch

  4. Brilliant blue skies were back today and that made me very, very happy. Doesn't take a whole lot to get us to grab our camera, now does it? :) Have a wonderful rest of the day. Tammy

  5. Skies are dark today but I think we miss the ice and sleet around us--again. A death on Friday but the sunshine is she is free at last. I will look for skies to show some true sun soon.

  6. No matter how bleak the day, I feel sunny when I babysit my great grandson.

  7. As I write, a beautiful twilight is beginning. A faint pink glow is painting the grey clouds. After many windy days, it is now very still. A light snow is predicted for overnight. It definitely looks like a "snow" sky.
Just to sit and watch the dusk descend is
    a gift.

    Enjoyed your pictures and text.
