So when I bought a small bouquet of green, red and white flowers at the supermarket, I wanted to put them into a special vase.
The one shown is one of my faves.
It was given to me by my very dear, long-time friend, Patti. She has an incredible eye for beautiful things.
It reminds me of Victorian times.
Catching it in a bolt of sunshine was an extra treat since the sun hasn't been coming out too often lately.
I think it's important to place little glimpses of beauty in one's environment, don't you?
Look around the room you are in right now.
WHAT IS ONE BEAUTIFUL THING YOU SEE?
That looks like a beautiful crystal vase - my mom used to collect crystal pieces. I love the way you have it on your table - you look like you have a pretty country kitchen! What is one beautiful thing i see - well right now - it is my grandson - he is in a great mood too! lol
ReplyDeleteI love my crystal vase that I got when I retired. I still have to find something pretty to put in it. Yours is lovely. In the room I'm in right now I have a Christmas angel out all year round...She is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes. Surrounding yourself with things of beauty brings joy and gratitude. Finding the extraordinary in the ordinary makes one appreciate all the little miracles we experience every day.
ReplyDeleteSitting here in the living room I see many beautiful things, to many to list. One that really pulls at my heartstrings, tho, is a water color painting of our house in winter that a friend painted. In the front yard are 2 little boys busily building a snowman. Skaters are twirling on the ice covered lake as snow gently falls over the purple mountains. I can easily get lost in the picture and many pleasant memories are evoked.
You crystal vase and flower arrangement is so pretty. Definitely a thing of beauty.
Beautiful vase (love the little feet) and flowers. I see my gorgeous pink Christmas tree still up and making me smile. It works for Valentine's day also!

Linda

ReplyDeleteHello from Spain: I really like your home and kitchen. It is a house with charm and beauty. Pretty flowers. I'm in my living room and I see the burning fireplace with photos of my family. See photos of my wedding is a moment of happiness. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteYes, you are right. We need to surround ourselves with beauty and memories. I have things in my house not to impress others but to comfort me. Love the little vase of flowers. I have not bought fresh flowers yet this winter.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very pretty little vase. I normally just use jars or anything I can find that resembles a vase. :) Best wishes, Tammy
