Top Notch Way of Cleaning a Stove

Those of you who spend any time on Pinterest know how addicting it can be.

Admittedly, I must vigilantly limit my time there.

There are so many wonderful images but also, there are some great tips on how to do just about anything under the sun (and moon and stars).

A tip on how to clean a stove really piqued my interest because it needed to be done right in my own kitchen.

The Pinterest tip said to use baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to clean the grime.

Well, trust me that there was a lot of grime, especially on the sides of the stove after I had hubs pull it out.

Underneath the cooking units was pretty bad, too.

There was no way I was going to show the worst of the worst scenario to readers.

Better to see the "after" photos than the "before."

The photos in this post show what a great job the products used really did.

The combo was used on the coffee machine and blender, too!

Yeah, it was a baking soda/peroxide cleaning frenzy and I'm very happy with the results.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CLEANING PRODUCT TO USE IN THE KITCHEN?

  2. My stove is one of those flat kind where are there aren't any rings. It is a pain to clean as you can't scrub hard and it is white!! I plan to buy another black one when I'm in my own home!!

  6. Baking soda is my "go-to" cleaning help! We've been doing a bit of cleaning around here, too. Being "iced in" seemed to give us that motivation.:-)

  8. I have not looked at Pinterest, I think I would like it too much. Blogs and Facebook and a couple other places are plenty. I like the cleaning tip you share here. For me the hardest is cleaning the inside of the oven!

  11. Oh, I've never heard of baking soda and peroxide in the cleaning process. With tough stains, I just use soft scrub. That seems to do the trick. But I am very lucky to have just moved into a new home, so not much grease and grime yet.

A happy day to you, Susan.

  13. Great job. Thanks for the tip.

I have a self cleaning oven and the glass top. Even with this feature, there are still spots that don't get cleaned.

But, it still gets nasty as I cook a lot. I try my best to clean it daily.

By the way, I'm noticing a Captcha "I'm not a robot" on your comment section and on a few others, did you place it there??? Did I miss something along the way of blogging?

    Hugs, Rose
