Colors, let's have colors, let's have lots and lots of colors!
Oh yeah. There are no black and white or grey color schemes around here.
Instead, the brighter, the better is the decoration scheme's mantra at the old homestead!
Last fall, at a wildly popular public housewares sale, some colored place mats, made in India, immediately caught my eye.
"These'll be perfect for dark, grey winter days," is the thought that went through my mind when I bought four of them for less than $2 each.
Aren't they the pizazz?
DO YOU LIKE BRIGHT COLORS OR DO YOU PREFER MORE MODERATE SHADES IN YOUR HOME?

At this time of year, after the winter landscape of grey, white and pine green, we are starved for COLOR! Your placemats sure fill the bill. They make me think of our trip to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico many years ago. Enchiladas, mariachi bands and turquoise blue water come to mind. Ole!
I tend to use more muted colors, but do like pops of color here and there
In fact, your placemats have inspired me to perk things up a bit here. Thanks for the inspiration.
I like a neutral background with pops of color in my home! Love the placemats!

Linda
Oh they are so awesome! I love color too and have found myself drawn to colorful items when I take pictures.
Your bright colors can be like Easter eggs from spring. I used some bright colors depending...mostly I am a muted shade person.
I am more of a subdues color person, but I love seeing your bright colors. xo Laura
Oh my house is all white, black, and neutral colors..Now and then I throw in a couple of bright things but since there is no winter here we have sunshine all year round and lots of light in my house. Those Indian colors are vibrant!
What great color you have there! We tend to gravitate toward more muted colors here, and I must confess a strong liking for white.:-)
I love these placemats! They are beautiful and at the right price too. :)
Right now I have everything moderate and it is driving me nuts. I love COLOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love those place mats.
Those colors are zesty and cheerful.
I love color. I'm always painting things neutral because that is what sells for furniture. Today I was painting a rocking chair grey and my daughter said please do it a color.
Cheers,
Natalie
... Hello Susan.... years ago I used to have mats on the kitchen floor like your placemats... I loved them... That was in the days of Chaos and Clutter, before the kids left home....
These days our home colours are more neutral with splashes of colour and stainless steel sparkle..... and space...
Hugs... Barb xxxx
Hello from Spain: I really like your tablecloths. I prefer soft colors. Keep in touch
Your place mats are very cheerful, Susan. I always love items from India, they're so unique. I love color and have to have it in my life. My home has a Mediterranean feel to it, and I have a splash of color in every room.....not too much though, as it's warm and cozy also.
Have a beautiful week.
love, ~Sheri
