Spring Sign on the Front Porch

It's so much fun putting signs on the porch to welcome the seasons or holidays at hand.

I forgot all about this "Celebrate the Joy of Spring" sign until I came across it a couple of weeks ago.

Now who, in their right mind, would not want to celebrate the joy of spring?

This is especially appropriate for New Englanders who lived through one of the roughest, toughest, most unpleasant winters we've had in a long time.

I celebrate the flowers of spring.

The warmer temps.

Singing of the birds.

The backyard fountain.

Fresh herbs.

Farmers' markets.

Outdoor concerts.

And on and on and on.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF SPRING?

I too love the birds singing in the garden and of course the return of our garden.
We still have snow but it is raining here today so soon I am hoping for green grass and daffodils.

Have a good week,
Carolyn

Hello Susan... Happy Spring! I love spring for many reasons but welcoming the birds back to the bird feeders is one of my favourite things... Take care.

Hello Susan, just enjoyed reading through your posts as I have been gone for awhile. I bet you are REALLY happy to see spring after the winter you have had! I think my favorite thing about spring is planning and planting my flower gardens. I love to be outside and just dig in the dirt.
Love ya,
Linda

It is still cool and rainy here.
But I bought some black petunias this morning as they are limited in number and I was afraid I would miss them. The gal said they would be fine outside now. Will see. I feel that the seasons are so confused and so am I anymore. I get seasonal decor and such out late, early or not at all. If only we could get the deck sealed (rain!) I would be ready to plan and sit and be out in spring before the summer heat determines the day.

Wonderful idea to welcome spring in this way!

I love the early spring blooms, especially the dogwood and redbud trees. Ours have faded here at this point.

Spring will be a little late this year..that's a song I sang when I was in college. Seems as though it took forever to come to New England this year...enjoy it to the fullest.

THE FLOWERS!

Happy Earth Day.

Cute sign for your front porch, Susan. The things that I enjoy in spring are birds coming out and singing their song, flowers blossoming, cool breezy mornings, and the garden that me and husband planted and watching it grow.

Have a beautiful week.

love, ~Sheri

Oh, my favourite part of the spring is watching everything come back to life and starting my garden. :)
