Tomatoes!

Tomato.

ToMAHto.

Regarding of how it is pronounced, a tomato is a delicious treat.

Fresh tomatoes grown by local farmers are among summer's best and yummiest offerings.

In the meantime, however, at the supermarket, I always look for tomatoes grown in the USA.

The other night I mixed chopped tomatoes with chick peas, olive oil and lemon juice and it was a very tasty salad, indeed!

HOW DO YOU LIKE TO EAT TOMATOES?

I love fresh tomatoes that have REAL taste. My favorite way, sliced with a bit of salt! Yum!

Love tomatoes in every way. Our farmers market will be bringing tent grown this month. That means fried green tomatoes will be here shortly!

I love tomatoes and always buy the ones that are on the vine. I love them any way but especially in BLT sandwiches...yummy yum yum. I remember eating them right from the garden when I was little...that is the best way!

Tomatoes are the best straight from the garden with a generous sprinkling of salt.

One of my favorite sandwiches is a grilled cheese and tomato, especially when it's made with Swiss cheese. I do have some Swiss cheese left from Easter and a little plum tomato sitting on the window sill. Hmmmm, sounds like lunch to me.

Fresh, homegrown tomatoes are the best. Throw a little cilantro in that salad and it's even yummier! :) Best wishes, Tammy

Oh yes... tomatoes.. I always grow them in the summer, grow so many of them so that I can freeze enough for the whole winter too. Then we have lots of tomato based soups, pasta sauces.. etc. I love to eat them fresh on the sandwich or in the salad. I think I'm going to go and have one on my sandwich right now. :D

My hubby plants enough for us, the neighbors, and the wild critters. We love tomatoes.
