Alexandra Stoddard, interior designer and author, has written many wonderful books.
I have most of them, purchased primarily second hand, in my home library.
She has a nice website, too!

In one of her books, she highly recommended always having living flowers in one's house.
I loved that idea and have tried to follow through.
The flowers shown in today's post were a gift to me......from me! Ha!
Thanks, Alexandra!
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU BOUGHT SOMETHING FOR YOURSELF?

I made another trip to the bookstore yesterday and got another crochet book and craft supplies. I like flowers but not the fact that they die. New plants here either get eaten by Jingles or just do their best to survive in this harsh environment. I love giving flowers, especially to deserving folk. Have a wonderful day. Tammy
Hello from Spain: I really like these flowers. I'm sure Alexandra books are fabulous. I will visit her blog. We keep in touch
You bought yourself a very pretty gift there girl. So pretty.
I buy myself books for my kindle...last month I spent over 60 dollars on several books...that's my gift to myself as I LOVE reading and am not a fan of tv. I never buy flowers but have gotten beautiful ones in the past from the school where I taught after the concerts were over. I do miss that since I've retired.
I haven't thought about this gal in ages! Thanks for the link and reminder!
Very lovely flowers photo's!
I need to start buying flowers for myself, it does make a difference in how I feel.
