Being Good to You

Alexandra Stoddard, interior designer and author, has written many wonderful books.

I have most of them, purchased primarily second hand, in my home library.

She has a nice website, too!
If you are unfamiliar with Alexandra, check it out:

In one of her books, she highly recommended always having living flowers in one's house.

I loved that idea and have tried to follow through.
The flowers shown in today's post were a gift to me......from me!  Ha!

There was a time in my life when I would never contemplate buying myself a present but, thankfully, that time has passed.

Thanks, Alexandra!
Stargazer lilies and roses make a stunning combination and are so fragrant, too.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU BOUGHT SOMETHING FOR YOURSELF?

I made another trip to the bookstore yesterday and got another crochet book and craft supplies. I like flowers but not the fact that they die. New plants here either get eaten by Jingles or just do their best to survive in this harsh environment. I love giving flowers, especially to deserving folk. Have a wonderful day. Tammy

I buy myself books for my kindle...last month I spent over 60 dollars on several books...that's my gift to myself as I LOVE reading and am not a fan of tv. I never buy flowers but have gotten beautiful ones in the past from the school where I taught after the concerts were over. I do miss that since I've retired.
