Gift of Peace

(Peaceful angels are on our enclosed side porch, in one window.)

One of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves is peace.

When problems are swirling around us, we can seek peace.

When people, even those we love, get on our nerves,  we can look for peace.

When we experience disappointment or discouragement, peace is the answer.

So on this last Sunday of July, give yourself a precious and loving gift------peace.

WHAT DO YOU DO TO HELP YOURSELF SEEK PEACE?

  2. Great question ! If I am very upset, or very restless, I begin cleaning my home while I think. Then I might sit outdoors and watch my chickens or sheep while I think and pray. Often I have a journal and pen with me to write down my thoughts, and my Bible as back-up , as comfort, as wisdom. All to often though, I will leave my Bible indoors because I don't want to read the truth that usually my own innermost struggles are a lack of faith and fear , the very opposite of what God offers. His peace, His ways, His wisdom. But He prevails, sitting in the garden and watching my animals brings a calm and perspective that takes me back to Him, praise Him !

  3. In a world of turmoil, seeking peace is the only answer. I find peace at dawn before the world wakes.

  4. I find peace in nature. Sitting outside and just trying to be in the moment seems to calm me. In the winter, sitting by the fire and listening to the wind blow seems to always bring a sense of gratitude and peace.

A beautiful melody can also bring relaxation and peace, especially in the evening as the day is winding down.

    Wishing you a peaceful Sunday.

  5. Of course, I pray for peace but like Kathy above, I often clean or work in the flower garden for peace. Your Peace angels are very sweet. Wishing you a nice week.
