(Photos in this post were taken inside St. Joseph's Church in Massachusetts.)
Sometimes life brings carefree days that fill our hearts with joy and gladness.
At other times, unforeseen negative things happen and we don't know why.
Somebody says something that hurts us or we suffer deep disappointment.
Maybe a family member is going through a very rough patch and we feel his or her pain.
During the dark times of life, when circumstances have us down, all we have to do is look up!
God is still in charge. He's still in control and He's still Master of the Universe.
He said it Himself: "Do not be anxious about anything."
I know it's easier said than done but when we let Him take the reins, we have a smoother ride.
Look up!
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN LIFE LETS YOU DOWN? HOW DO YOU HANDLE A DIFFICULT SITUATION?

Welcome to Writing Straight from the Heart's newest Follower. Can you tell me who you are so we can tell readers about your blog, too? Thanks!
Hope each of you has a delightful Sunday. Susan
What do I do? PRAY...Prayer always makes me feel better about things. Happy Sunday to you and have a great holiday tomorrow.
Congrats to the new follower.
The only reason and why I survive is through prayer Susan - serious prayer.
I had a friend send me something pretty today:
As we age, God begins to take things away from us. He takes away our youth. He takes away our vanity. He takes away our physical attractiveness. He takes away our pride, our arrogance, our hatred and our prejudices. But it's not so much what He takes, but what He replaces it with. He gives us humility, hope, peace, kindness and love. This is what He leaves us with as we draw closer to the day we leave this life for a brand new one with Him...and with Him, we'll get it right this time.
Wonderful reminder to put your hand in the hand of the man who stilled the waters.
Hello from Spain: sometimes life is very hard. I try to take refuge in prayer to God. I am a believer. Keep in touch
Thank you, Susan. Just what I needed to hear today.
love, ~Sheri
It's true. If you remember to trust, the burdens lift.
