Notecards for a Song

After the hectic Christmas spending spree weeks, I'm content, these days, to thrift store shop with just a few bucks.

Always, throughout the year, there are birthdays to celebrate and remember with gifts.

Also, I like to send thank you notes when someone gives me something or does something nice for me.

That's one true joy of thrift shore shopping.

If lucky, one can find lovely items with very affordable price tags that others have simply given away.

On a recent jaunt to a couple of places that offer items with thrift store prices,  I found a box of brand new note cards that appealed to me.

Okay, there were 13 cards in a box that stated 20 but loved those that were left in the box.

The notecards cost $3.29.

Have a couple more small found treasures that I'll share in other posts. Don't want this one to be any longer.

DO YOU STILL SEND THANK YOU NOTES? DO YOU LIKE TO RECEIVE THEM?

Your mama brought you up right. I do send thank yous - sometimes a card or sometimes via the internet, but I do appreciate what others do and want them to know it.

Good morning, Susan! There is something so very special about a handwritten thank you note! I do receive them on occasion. I have a hard time finding a good buy when I go to a thrift store. Most things already seem to be well-worn. - Nellie

I think they know my name, for sure my face! at the Goodwill store. I stock my top closet shelf with finds for special/unexpected occasions, too.

I don't send handwritten notes as much as I used to. Email notes are not as nice but can have colored paper and nice inks...but mostly I am in contact with people on the internet anyway so to unless it is a very special thought or condolence, to write and wait on the post office can be overkill. I hate it, but life changes...I adapt.

I love getting and sending cards. I should do it more often! I too look for cute cards in the thrift stores and find them at bargain prices. The one's you found are so cute!

.. Hello Susan... I like your thrift shop finds.. thrifting can be fun.
I don't send cards very often these days.. the cost of postage is pretty high in Australia...I do most of my Birthday wishes and Thank you-s on the Internet.... I do send Christmas cards by normal post...
Have a great day...
